Casting call for two short films

We are currently looking for several actors/actresses for two different short films.

1.) The first one is a Sci-Fi short film to be shot on 16th and 17th of February 2010 in Hong Kong, we are looking for an actress to play a doctor.

2.) There will be a casting after Chinese New Year for another short film (to be shot around mid to end of April 2010 in Hong Kong), looking for both male and female actors.

We need crew for feature film!

There are still unfilled positions for a feature film to be shot in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur from 13th March to 12th April 2010. This will be a low budget feature film without pay, however it’s a good opportunity for people new to the business to learn the ropes and get a first chance to experience what it is like to work on a feature film.

Food will be provided and for people coming outside of Malaysia we will try our best to help you find good and cheap accommodation. -Set director
-Script supervisor
-Production assistants
-Camera assistant / focus puller (must have experience in this field)

From shoulder mount to 8mm

I recently built a shoulder mount and took my rig out for testing. I didn’t really intend to make much out of the footage, it was only meant for evaluating the shoulder mount but a discussion on dvxuser.com inspired me to transform the shot video to emulate the old 8mm film look. Here is the outcome.

ISHK 2009 festivities and awards

Well, we didn’t get an award this year but we got into the finals so that should count for something. At least we had lots of fun at the after parties. Since we didn’t plan Kowloon Story to be submitted to ISHK we were kind of handicapped. But hold on to ISHK 2010, now that we know : )
